Back up light switch on a 1993 chevy 3500 dually HELP!!?
I have a 1993 chevy 3500 dually and both of my reverse lights would not work but the rest of the lights do work, So i went ahead and checked the light bulbs first and they're fine so than i checked to see if was getting any current back there in the tail light assembly and i found out i do have current for the reverse lights and the rest of the lights so i friend told that it was probably the back up light switch, so i went and bought one now my problem is that i can't find where the old switch is located? they told me i was on top of the steering collum on the lower part under the dash, I have allready dropped the steering collum by loosing up the two bolts that hold it up but i still don't see it, is it located somewhere else? or am i looking in the wrong place for it any help will be appreciated Thanks
By the way when i bought the back up light switch they said the back up light switch and the neutral safety switch was all in one.
i can tell you they told you wrong it is on the transmission it is right behind the shifter cable you have to remove one bolt in the center i think it is a 15 mm and their should be two 10 mm bolt the hold it to the transmission !!
