Tensioner square hole for the breaker bar? (2000 Grand Caravan)?
I've been looking for what seems like hours to find the square hole to adjust the tensioner.
The belt has already popped off once, and it did so again yesterday. But I simply do not see how this tensioner works.
I have no previous belt experience.
Where can I find that hole? Do I access it from above or below? What's the easiest way to get this belt back on?

I am working on a Lincoln now;To Evalute wheather Your tensioner is Weak --Their are two marks on the Base and one mark on the Tensioner Arm,if the Tensioner arm is weak it will be outside of the 2 Marks,another is using Torque Wrench on the bolt of Pulley if it takes less than 40 lbs to move it --Replace it;
--As to your situation "Throwing belts ,Replace it; 45 Dollars for Assy.that includes Arm and Pulley,I believe the Bearing in Pulley is worn out and You have Wobble;It also will eat up Your Belt--As to how You Roatate the Pulley to Replace Belt;There is a 1/2 inch drive Slot on the eng side;There isn't much clearance;Rotate Clockwise to get Slack;There is also the Bolt -Head on the outside this one is a 16 metric,Again not much Clearance;Auto-Zone Loans a tool that comes with Sockets for most cars ,I paid 35 dollars for mine;With right tool and clearance it is a 45 min Job,With out it is a Knuckle busting 2 Hrs;This iam going to do while I Have the Assy off, I am going to put a Modification in the Fender that is causing me some hard work;
As to how the Tensioner Works ,Remember the Older cars had Slots for each item; You had a Bolt and pry the Pump or whatever---The Tensioner Has a very Strong Spring and it is Loaded to the Down Position ,Works real well;To Rotate Pulley clock wise it will take some effort because You are taking Load off Belt;Good luck,You can do it/Post again if You need;
