How to tell if an electronic pressure sensor will work with water as well as air?
I have an application that has water flowing through a tube, and I need an electric pressure sensor/transducer to measure the water's pressure. I've been looking at mouser.com and other sites, and I cannot tell if the sensors work with water and air or just air. Does anyone know how to tell the difference?
The vast majority manufacturer data sheets do not list appropriate working fluids. A very select say they only work in non-corrosive fluids or something similar.
But will water short-out the circuits? I'm guessing not, as fluid flowing around the diaphragm would make an inaccurate measurement.
