Power supply for vacuum tubes? AC-DC about 120 to 500 volts dc output, where can I buy one?
I need a power supply for a vacuum tube experiment that I am doing and it must be something I can just plug into a standared wall socket that will out put at least 120v DC. My quest has been much harder than I thought. I have searched the internet and found places that have DC to DC only, AC to AC only or AC-DC but the output is too freaken small, usually not much more than 12 v DC. I am in the Los Angeles/ Orange County area in Southern California if you actually know a location in this area.
You could just use a diode bridge on the 120 vac line. With a filter capacitor on the output it would give you about 170 v dc.
