I Hooked Up A Mono Amp Up With 2 10" Comp Kickers n 2 8" Bass Tubes....?
I Hooked up 2 10" Comp Kickers and 2 8" Bass Tubes to a Soundstream RUB 500-1 Mono Amp and the radio worked for about 10 minutes of sound and then my mid range went out now all i have is bass no sound out of the door speakers. What could b my problem? thank you for the help.
No They Are Not Hooked Up To The Amp and I Checked The Speaker Wires in The Back Of The HU and The Amp And Still No Sound.
Ditch the 8's for starters. You don't want different sizes/brands/models of drivers playing the same frequencies. You could very possibly have too low an impedence load to the amp, resulting in frying it. Bass tubes suck anyway.
The door speakers should not have been affected by hooking up an amp and subs. Are they hooked up to an amp, or the HU? Make sure you didn't unhook them.
Added: Make sure the wires are still hooked up to the speakers. Also, does your HU have an option to turn off the internal amp? My Alpine does. Make sure it is on if it does. Is the fader and balance set right?
