What should the connections be like in a TV areal box?
I'm having problems with my TV signal and think I may have disturbed the wire in the areal box whilst decorating. THe wire coming in from the areal outside has a black coating. There is then some gold braid around a white plastic, hard tube and finally a sharp 'copper' pin.
Should the braid be pulled back away from everything or should it be touching something - I cant work it out. The cable is secured under a silver 'arm with screws either side (Like a standard plug wire holder) and I think the pin should have a screw holding it in place. As you can see I am a complete novice but i think the fault is only small and TV areal people have only ever ripped me off so looking to have a go myself 1st
