How to tell capacitors apart?
I have 3 capacitors, but cannot tell which one is which, how do i find out?
I know one is 4700 pfd 50 volts polyester, one is .1 mfd 100 volts polyester, and the last is .0033 mfd 250 volts polypropylene.
One is green, one is dark red, the other is very small and bright blue.
Is there any way to tell them apart? Do i need some kind of instrument, and what would that be if so?
I know the numbers because they came with a schematic and kit
The colors won't help. There's likely a three-digit number that gives the value in (I think) nanofarads, 1e-09 F. They work like resistor color codes: 474 would be 47 x 10^4 nanofarads. Figure it out from there.
