What can I do now that the dialogue in my 5.1 surround has gone low?
Two weeks ago -- in the middle of watching a DVD on my Yamaha Home theater system, on the Pro-logic surround setting -- the dialogue coming out of the middle speaker suddenly dropped. The volume crashed from that speaker and the dialogue sounded like it was being spoken through a tube or a bad fast-food speaker. When I switch my system into any other surround setting, the problem is still evident, but when I switch back into 5-channel stereo, the sound from all channels sounds strong.
What has happened to my Home Theater system? Is it most likely the speaker, DVD player, or receiver that is the problem? What can I do to rectify this problem?
try using another speaker from one of the other channels and if it sounds good then you know its the speaker if it doesnt then its the receiver and you may need a warranty exchange.
