Best buy installed my amp and subs and speakers ect. around last november. Suddenly my subs stopped working. I took it into best buy to have them take a look. I found out that my amplifier has blown no fault of my own. I still have the original box it came in. Geek Squad told me to call kennwood and ship it to them and I would get a free replacement. I would just have to pay shipping, Also when I asked them to print out the original reciete, they found the purchase history, but the acctual reciept would not print. So is this legit? It has not even been a year, and no one messed with the amplifier. Should I be able to get a new one for no cost..with original boxes..and they could like call best buy to comfirm the purchase history? if you used to work at best buy or have gone through this before it would be alot of help
Best Buy has all the receits (at least in Ohio, but I imagine it would be nation wide) all loaded in their online database. I can't imagine why they couldn't print it unless they had some local problem with their printer. Try another store if it's not a hassle cause any Best Buy could look up your purchase history regardless what store you bought it at. Most items now have the one year manufactory warranty with the item, parts and labor. Some items do get immedately replaced out and not repaired. It all depends on the cost of repair vs. the cost of just giving you a new one, so it might be legit.
