micro ATX motherboard for gaming?
I have an ATX micro motherboard right now, i have a GTX 260 video card, but it covers one of the pci slots, the gtx is in a PCI-E slot. Since the GTX is covering up one of the pci slots, only one other pci slot is accessible. The motherboard has 6 sata ports. It supports AM2+ and AM3 cpu's, so i can put the amd quad core phenom in. It has a core unlocker feature with GPU NOS feature also. The mother board has 8 channel HD-AUDIO integrated (X-FI), 4 Ram slots.
I wanted to get a bigger motherboard, but i guess this mother board is alright until i can get a bigger motherboard.
What do you think of using an ATX micro motherboard? is it good for gaming? tell me what you think pls, and thanks in advance.
In gaming what matters most is the graphics card, then the processor, RAM, HDD and so on. Your current set up is just fine. You only need the bigger ATX mobo if you plan to have a dual card set up (SLI or Physx) or if you need the additional PCI or PCIe slots for devices like a video capture card, TV tuner, wifi card, etc.
