i have been searching and testing headphones for quite a long time. But, i were unable to find ones which i could say it 's the best.
here is my criterion :
1. Top sound quality
2. Comfortable
3. Durable
I really liked the Sennheiser hd series, but this is designed only for hifi station. I know that with an adaptor it could be use for an ipod, but I'm wondering if the sound quality will still be preserved.
My budget is unlimited.
I will use this headphone for listening to music in the city, and for monitoring and editing on my computer.
I think if you're looking for sound and quality, you need to steer clear of in-ear headphones. I work at a store that sells Skull Candy Ink'd and have had numerous complaints with how often they break. As far as Apple headphones, I think it's safe to say that if it comes with the product, it can't be too fancy. I'm a big headphone user and care a lot about comfort and sound quality. If your budget is unlimited, I would have to suggest the Bose AE2 Audio headphones. Amazing sound quality, really nice padding, and a decent noise canceling despite it not having one of those transmitters. They are $149.95 but I bet you can find them cheaper elsewhere. If you're willing to break the bank even more, the nicer versions, the QuietComfort Earphones are by far the most comfortable I've ever worn. At $299 though, they're pretty pricey. My final suggestion would be the Sony MDR 7506. These are meant for studio recording. They have a great sound, foldable for easy travel, and I'm a big fan of the coiled wires so it doesn't get tangled.
