loudness in dynomax VS flowmaster?
on my 72 chevelle with a 383I'm switching to Dynomax ultra flows with 2-1/2" input and output mufflers along with the system being 2-1/2" all the way from the 3" collectors from the headers, right now the exhaust is set up - 1-5/8 tube longtube full length headers with 3" collectors, flowmaster mufflers with 2-1/2 exhaust system dumped before the rear axle. What I'm switching to - same headers, 2-1/2" exhaust with Dynomax ultraflow mufflers and going to be leading to the side (in front of the rear wheels (kinda like nascar style) How much louder will the new system be? (ultraflows) be from the system now? (flowmasters) also with the dynomax, it looks like the muffler just has a tube running right through it, will I hurt my valves? will they give me enough back pressure to keep everything healthy? also how much HP will this free up? as it has less back pressure?
Dynomax is quieter and magnaflow,flowmaster are louder by 1db. flowmaster has a whole exhaust system to build any way you what to order it.
