Can I use a DAC and a Power amplifier or I need a pre-amp between those?
I'm new to the audio stuff.
I have a computer HTPC, with a audio card soundblaster x-fi
I want to buy some Hi-fi stereo system.
I saw some Integrated Amplifier ( wich does pre-amp + power amp)
Would it be possible to just use a DAC and a power amp, or I need the pre-amp.

If the HTPC has some form of digital audio out like an RCA jack (my main box has this) or Toslink (optical), then you can get something that has this as an input. This is what I do. I run a Yellow RCA composite cable from the Digital Audio RCA jack out of my PC to the Orange Digital Audio RCA Jack of a 5.1 Home Theater. I can get 5.1 audio out of it. This is by far the best way as running analog signals from computers to Audio Equipment usually ends up in a 60 cycle hum you can't get rid of.
