Setting up bass system in car?
If i get two woofers at 1500watts each totaling 3000 would i have to get an amp(s) to total that power?
eg get two amps rated at 1800watts each?
and when the woofers are the only thing that need amps right? the aftermarket speakers just use the orginal Speaker System right?
The amp(s) total output power doesn't have to equal what the woofer(s) are rated for, that's never the case.
If you want more mids and highs you can get a speaker amp also. But, yes, you can run the speakers off of the head unit in place.
In my case, I have several amps, powering 6 speakers and two woofers.
