How how do you connect a mixer, in line with an 8 track recorder?
I am after getting better recordings and so i am thinking of buying a mixer to control the sound before it is recorded. The problems that i may have are 1. Will I need additional phantom power for the microphones and 2. will i be able to adjust the tone.
The mixer will have phantom power for you condenser mic on it's mic pre amps.
You will have parametric eq and you will be able to adjust the hi, mids, and lows to give you a analog tone.
Come out of the outs of Your 8 track recorder and go into tape input of you mixer and come out of the tape out in to your computer.
