Dual car battery question.?
If I wire a second battery in my car with a diode bases isolator, and connect my sound system to the second battery, what happens if that battery gets low on power?
I have read that the isolator automatically switches between batteries, but if the isolator uses/switches to the main battery will my audio still work?
And does the alternator constantly charge BOTH batteries? Or one at a time?
Can a toggle switch or somethig be added between the isolator and second battery to stop it from charging and if that is done, will my audio play until the battery runs out? Then just flip switch and recharge?

Duel battery systems most often charge together, but that truly depends on the way they are set up.
Normally, an isolator will cut one battery out to reserve it as you draw on the other with the engine off and alternator quiet. This allows you to re-crank and recharge. I
