Is this a good deal (used car buying).?
I am looking at a 2005 Buick Lacrosse, top of the line trim model CSX.
The owner is a senior citizen, and it only has 18K on it. I have seen
the window sticker from the car, and the msrp was 28,335, and
on top of the typical luxury standards of a buick, he ordered 5,000 more in options, which include power sunroof, chrome plated wheels,
heated seats, leather wrapped steering wheel, upgraded stereo system, xm radio, rear spoiler. His asking price is 12,500. The original price was 34,000. Now I know it's a buick and they don't hold their value well, and it still has a long ways to drop before it stops
appreciating, but it seems to me this might be too good of a deal to pass up. What do you think?
Buick is a very, I repeat, very good car. It holds its value better than most other GM products. Buick reliability scores very high according to JD Power and Consumer Reports.
Check the carfax report and find out what the value of the car is according to the kbb.com (blue book) or edmunds.com
Sounds like the car wasn't driven much and has lots of options. I think you are getting a good deal, just make sure to check the price and don't forget to negotiate.
