Guitar Pickups and pedal for metal?
Well, I have a Western (Never heard of that brand before) Stratocaster.
It has 3 single-coil pickups. My dad bought it because it was cheap (Yeah, I know) but, I like playing Thrash metal (Metallica, Megadeth) Heavy and some rock.
The guitar just doesn't sound very good to me, and I think it's the pickups.
What I know, is that there are 2 kind of pickups, aye? Humbucker and Single-Coil. I have looked up some metal-ish guitars like the B.C Rich Warlocks, Warbeast and stuff, and they all have Humbuckers
So, what would you recomend?
Also! I mistakenly bought a Boss MD-2 Mega Distortion pedal, and I saw that my amp gives even better distortion than the pedal ¬¬
A friend told me to buy a Digital Multipedal or something. What do you think??
emg (a highly used metal pickup company) makes single coils or you could get a cheap ibanez or axl and i have a digitech rp90 its not to bad fun to play around on i probably wouldn't use it live though
