Can you use a normal capacitor instead of a ceramic disc capacitor?
I'm building a condenser microphone using the information from this site: http://www.christianmusicweb.com/microphones/mic_project.html
One of the parts requires a 1000PF 100V CERAMIC DISC and I was wondering if I could use a normal capacitor of the same value such as this:

Of course, this one isn't the proper value but I have one of the proper value.
1,000 pF capacitor is equal to a 0.001 μF capacitor. Ceramic disc capacitors are cheap but you can use a 0.001 μF mica capacitor too. Don't even think of using an electrolytic capacitor, the 100 μF electrolytic is 100,000 times too high a value and will not work.
